Bhagya Guru ("we", "us") is operated by KSBM Infotech, India. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Bhagya Guru app, the Bhagya Guru Astrologer app and bhagyaguru.in, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Information Technology Act, 2000, its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using our services you agree to this policy; if you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Information we collect

• Account: mobile number (required, verified by OTP), name, and optionally email, gender and profile photo.
• Birth details you enter for kundli, reports and consultations: name, date, time and place of birth, and the saved profiles you create for family members. Date and time of birth are optional for many features.
• Consultations: chat messages, the intake form, phone-call details and call recordings, video-appointment details, ratings and reviews.
• Payments: wallet recharges and transactions. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment gateway's secure pages (Razorpay) and are never stored by us.
• Device and usage: push-notification token, app version, device model, IP address, pages visited, crash logs. The website uses only essential browser storage for login and preferences — no advertising cookies.
• Astrologers additionally provide KYC (PAN, Aadhaar images), bank details for payouts and audio / video introductions.

2. How we use it

• To log you in, connect consultations, prepare your kundli and reports, and bill your wallet.
• To send updates you need (consultation status, payments) and the ones you choose (daily panchang, rashifal, offers — you can switch these off).
• To prevent fraud and abuse, handle refunds and disputes, and meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
• To improve the service using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.

3. Phone calls and your number

Calls between you and an astrologer are connected through our telephony partner using a masked number. The astrologer never sees your mobile number, and you never see theirs. By using the call feature you agree that we may call your registered number to connect the consultation, even if it is registered on DND.

4. Microphone, camera and recordings

The microphone and camera are used only during calls and video consultations you start, and by astrologers to record their introduction. Call recordings are kept securely for quality checks and to resolve complaints, and are accessed only by authorised staff, with every access logged.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only what is necessary with service providers that work for us: cloud hosting, payment gateway, SMS / OTP, telephony, video calling, push notifications, astrology calculations, place search and email. The astrologer you consult sees your intake form and birth details for that consultation only. We disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect a person's life or safety.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, birth details and saved profiles are removed immediately. Records we must keep by law — wallet and payment transactions, invoices, consultation records and recordings needed for disputes — are kept for up to 8 years and then deleted.

7. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sensitive fields (phone numbers, KYC, bank details) are encrypted at rest, staff access is role-based and logged, and sessions are protected with short-lived tokens. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and OTP private and never share an OTP with anyone, including people claiming to be from Bhagya Guru.

8. Your rights and choices

• View and correct your profile in the app or on the website.
• Delete your account any time (Profile → Delete account) or as described on this page.
• Turn off promotional notifications in your phone settings.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or raise any privacy question, at hello@bhagyaguru.in.

9. Children

Our services are meant for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Adults may ask questions about a minor in their own family; if you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Well-being

Bhagya Guru is not a crisis or mental-health service. If you share that you or someone else is in danger, we may share the necessary information with emergency services to protect life. In an emergency call 112, or the Tele-MANAS mental-health helpline 14416.

12. Changes

We will post any change on this page and update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

13. Grievance Officer

For complaints about your data or this policy, write to our Grievance Officer at hello@bhagyaguru.in with the subject "Grievance". We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.
